  A short Bio

I was born on 10 September 1985 in the city Almere, in the Netherlands. And I still live there.

I started drawing when I was very young. I was always fascinated by movement in animated pictures. When I was about 15 years old I realized that I wanted to become an animator but I didn’t know how to do it. In 2002 I went to school at the ‘Media college in Amsterdam’, and I studied to become a graphic designer. I started to work more with a computer and I made my first frame for frame animation on a home made light table. In my second year I switched to study 'Media design'. And I started animating in flash and I got my first small graphic tablet.

In my third year I went on two internships. My first internship was at ‘Condor Post Production’ in Amsterdam. Here I started working on 3D animation and I learned modeling. My second internship was at the animation studio ‘Lawson and Whatshisname’, also in Amsterdam. Here I learned more about 2D animation and compositing. In my last year at the Media college I specialized in animation and I graduated in September 2006. In the meanwhile I was excepted at the art school 'Hogeschool van de Kunsten in Utrecht' or 'The Utrecht School of the Arts'. Now I study Computer Animation and Visual effects.

In my third year I had my Internship at the studio 'House of secrets'. Here I really learned a lot about animation but also about being a all round 3D artist. I worked along on some great projects such as the Bol.com commercials, the 'Heineken walking fridge' and the 'Klik! animation festival leader'.

In my final year I worked on the trailer for Bekolt, a animated short that will be around 3 and a half minutes long. I wasn't able to finish the entire animation for my graduation so I designed to graduate with a trailer which can be found at http://www.anim.nl/bekolt. I am still hoping to finish the animation before December 2011 but I can't guaranty it. I will post news announcements about Bekolt on my blog and on the Bekolt webpage.

So in September 2010 I graduated as a Master of European Art. Right after graduating I got a job at the 'MediaMonks' in Hilversum. Here I currently work as an all-round 3D artist.
